From the 4th until the 17th of July, Sagi Gross and Jeroen Fransen are working in residency in wpZimmer. They develop Naar Nederland, a multidisciplinary performance, that combines visuals, performance art and contemporary dance. A piece about immigration, integration and alienation.
Sagi Gross (choreographer - IL/NL) and Jeroen Fransen (Multidisciplinary performance artist - NL) work together on a regular basis. Their collaboration projects are a combination of contemporary dance and visual-performance art. 'Naar Nederland' (To The Netherlands) has been performed in different locations in The Netherlands as part of work in progress performance.
In the piece the makers shine their light over social tensions in the Dutch and European society. Subjects as alienation, xenophobia, integration and the relativity of stereotypes are in focus. It’s rather the personal experience that forms the main point instead of the general overheated terms of the media. Based on the ‘Inburgeringscursus’ the creators are welcoming you to CHECK IN to The Netherlands.
In WP Zimmer Antwerp the artists will present a work in progress showing of the performance at the end of their residency.
